The School Health Law Project is dedicated to improving children’s
health by improving the school environment.
Our mission is to:
- Promote access to nutritious foods/beverages and physical activity
in public schools
- Reduce or eliminate the advertising of non-nutritious foods/beverages
on school campuses
The School Health Law Project helps school-based health advocates gain
a better understanding of the laws and legal concepts underpinning their
efforts to effect lasting change in their communities. We demystify
complex laws and regulations to help advocates and policy makers speak
knowledgably and confidently about changing school food environments.
